Bertrand Lacombe
Bertrand Lacombe is a member of the Paris and Toulouse Bars and founder of Lacombe Avocats.
Bertrand is a graduate of ESSEC, Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas and IEP Toulouse. He was an associate at Arsene Taxand and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
His legal, financial and economic education allows him to have a global and integrated approach of the legal and tax issues his clients are facing.
While working within top-tier international law firms, he had the opportunity to advise on a regular basis major French and foreign clients, including public companies, banks and private equity firms, on all French and international tax issues and also to assist them in tax audits and disputes.

Tax expertise
Bertrand has developed leading expertise in tax, both in advice and litigation . His main areas of expertise are international taxation, transactional taxation and wealth taxation. In particular, he assists clients in France and abroad with the financial and tax management of their businesses and their acquisition or restructuring projects.
His practice generally covers corporate, finance, personal and property tax, both in a domestic or cross-border context.

Bertrand publishes regularly on issues in French and international taxation for various reviews specialised in this area of law (such as the Revue de Droit Fiscal, the Feuillet Rapide Francis Lefebvre, or the Journal of Taxation of Financial Products, as well as economic newspapers.

Teaching and pedagogy
Bertrand has been teaching tax law at a number of leading business schools and universities (HEC, ESSEC, TBS, Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, Université Toulouse Capitole). For over 10 years, he is in charge of the module dedicated to teh taxation of the group of companies of the DJCE diploma (Diplôme de Juriste Conseil d’Entreprises) at Toulouse Capitole University.
