We help real estate players (real estate investment trusts (OPCIs), property companies, lessors, developers, land developers, etc.) to navigate the complexities of a changing tax landscape, to model and anticipate the tax treatment of their projects, limit fiscal rubbings in their transactions and defend their interests in their dealings with the tax authorities.
Real estate taxation
Understanding tax
and financial issues
Thanks to our financial culture, we have a comprehensive understanding of real estate transactions, in terms of both direct and indirect taxation, in a national and international context, for both private individuals and professionals.
We advise and litigate on tax issues relating to the financing of real estate assets, real estate investment funds, SCPIs and OPCIs, property development and sales, as well as renovation and ownership.
We have recently:
- defended an OPCI in a tax dispute concerning the application of the tax treaty between france and Luxembourg ;
- assisted a REIT in the reorganisation of its property holdings in France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom;
- advised a number of real estate development groups on structuring their programmes in line with the various tax incentive schemes in force;
- modelled the tax treatment of several property transactions on behalf of private investors.
